A colleague lent me a book to browse through today: The Worst Album Covers Ever, by Nick DiFonzo. A number of them had made the rounds in the office yesterday on a email list. However this gem was missing.
Now the kicker is, I think this is a great album cover. If I were to see this at Lyle's Place or The Turntable I'd grab it for display purposes. Not, "ha ha - that's so bad it's funny" but rather "I'm both a sucker for puns and pin-up style photos/art."
Does this mean I have bad taste? Heck no! Taste that can be different from a number of my friends at time? Yes. And that's just another reason I'm special!
I'd rather see pin ups like that where the women had curves as opposed to the current standard of beauty accepted in today's media. The pinups from the 50's had a fantastic sense of naughty fun that is hard to find in the current polictally correct uptight society. So Jess I think you have fantastic taste!
